Decaffeinated Coffee

We try to stock only the best decaffeinated coffees, because we know how much you love the flavor of coffee, even if you need to cut out the caffeine.

Most of our decaf coffees are processed using the Swiss Water Process (SWP). This process is completed in Canada. In British Colombia to be precise. The Swiss Water Process uses pure water and proprietary carbon filters to remove 99.9% of the caffeine. Swiss Water is certified organic, kosher, and 100% chemical-free. If a coffee was organic from the farm, it will still be organic certified after this process.

There are a few other processing methods. We currently have one coffee that was processed using Ethyl Acetate (E.A.). This is a naturally occurring ester that can be isolated and used as a solvent to bond with and remove caffeine from green coffee. After this process only about 0.1 - 0.3% caffeine is left.
