This chai is a blend of organic Assam tea with cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, and other spices. It's balanced to create the perfect aromatic blend. It makes an amazing cup of round, spicy and savory chai.
Caffeine: Medium Bold
Kosher, Fair Trade, and Organic Certified.
We suggest brewing 1 tsp with water heated to 206°F for 3 to 5 minutes. Let stand for a minute while you heat milk and sugar (if desired), then filter the brew into cups and add the milk/sugar mixture. One ounce is equal to about 15 cups as you can reuse the chai a few times.

Product Description

    Details

(All teas/chai are sold by the ounce. Choose the number of ounces you desire.) Fair Trade Organic Assam tea from nearby the Brahmaputra River in India- with cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and other spices. Smells like a holiday and its instant cozy in a cup. If you've never tried real chai, you might really dig it. Assam is especially noted for its malty quality, a result of the monsoon conditions of up to 12" of rain per day and temperatures of up to 103 degrees. Preparing Chai: Always start with cold water. Boil water. Add chai and boil for half a minute or so to taste. Let stand for a minute while heating (the optional) milk and sugar. Filter the brew into cups then add the milk and sugar mixture. That's it! Masala Chai.

Just made my first cup of the chai. I used two tea spoons for a big mug and it was a little strong but still was good with milk and sugar. Tasted like I was back in India, felt like smashing the cup on the ground after I finished it. (Posted on 8/6/2014)
