Imported exclusively by Vournas Coffee of Southern California for the last 10 years. "Dulce Leonarda" is from the Gustavo Mauricio Tello family estate located in the La Libertad region near the small village of La Mesilla. Only a thousand bags of this single estate coffee are produced in a season. The family produces an assortment of 100% shade grown Bourbon, Catuai and Caturra varietals, hand picks their cherries and operates their own wet mill right at the farm.

The beans may be among the hardest beans grown worldwide. Cultivated at an elevation of 5,000 feet and above, making this a true SHB grade (Strictly Hard Bean). Huehuetenango is a coffee offering a crisp, bright acidity and rich nuttiness. Dulce Leonarda is notable for its clean cup, syrupy body, lemon citrus highlights and deep tobacco/cocoa tones. The finish is light but lasting.
