Product Description

The birthplace of the coffee plant continues to produce the most ancient and some of the most unique coffees in the world. Ethiopian Moka is a dry processed coffee from Harrar. The coffee isn't washed during processing giving it a wilder quality than the washed Ethiopians (Sidamos, Yirgachefes). One of the first "specialty coffees" it rarely made it to Europe and the Americas as the Saudis traditionally paid the most for these beans. Used today as a substitute for Yemen Mocha. Look for the classic berry/blueberry note. Great as a component in your espresso.

(BTW- Mocha or Moka is (was) the name of the African port the coffee was shipped from - closed by a giant sandbar in the early 20th century)
