CARING FOR YOUR TREE

Placement
Indoor growth is best if placed in a well-lit area. Filtered sun or flourescent office/kitchen type lighting is great.

Watering
Hold the tree over a sink or container. Add water until it drips from the holes in the bottom of the pot. Repeat until all the roots get wet, then allow to drain. Generally, water once a week. Do not allow the soil to be constantly wet. Do not over water! To avoid moisture damage to surfaces, always place a dry saucer under the pot.

Feeding
Use a liquid fertilizer found at garden shops and follow the directions for indoor plants.

Temperature
Coffee is a sub-tropical tree which thrives between 61 to 74 degrees F. However, it will tolerate temperatures in the range of 55 to 80 degrees F. and still flower. Do not allow freezing! If placing in a sunny or hot location, water more often to avoid wilting.

Your Coffee Tree
Coffee grows well indoors, making an ideal home or office plant. Transplanting to a larger pot allows the tree to grow larger, and if conditions are right, it will produce flowers and beans. Use a well-drained potting soil such as camellia mix available at your local garden shop.
